"Hello, it's Me" writing activity

Today I want to tell you about some activities for the very first lesson with your group.
How to get acquainted with the children and help them  get to know each other better?
How to test their knowledge without any boring tests?
Here is a writing task for young learners, where they write everything about them and their family.
The target language to revise: spelling the name, animals, family members, professions, verbs.

Procedure: give 1 copy of  worksheet to each pupil and tell the class they are going to make a poster about themselves for everyone to learn more about them.
They should write some true to life info in each box and also include a photo or a drawing of themselves.
They may also colour the entire page (as some of my 9 year olds did)
You may have each child present him/ herself in front of the class or just hang the posters around the class.

Extension: you can play "find someone, who..." and have children go around the class and collect the information about how many members of the group have cats, like to play football etc.

Tip: depending on the group you may need to revise the target vocabulary before the activity

Have a nice day!
